Thus, you can spend minutes and possibly an hour just finishing a level to your satisfaction. The levels also grow in scale each time-from a simple bedroom on the first level to a full-on house with various rooms on the third. There are eight levels in the form of eight times you move to a new home over the years and eight pivotal moments of the young adolescent protagonist’s life. Simply decorate to your heart’s content and marvel at the cute pixel art of the various items you discover that the protagonist owns and the numerous storage spots available. There is no timer or score to achieve either, so there’s no pressure to do your best. There is no fail condition as, after taking out every object in the boxes, those that should be relocated will be outlined in red and the game will wait for you to correct them before finally progressing to the next level. The whole goal of the game is to unpack everything and put them where they can and should be in the 2D isometric view of the rooms-and the game is very lenient on where you can place most things. You also have decorative items, like posters and figurines, that you can place around to make your mark in your new space. This involves unboxing your stuff and storing them in their appropriate places-whether it’s office supplies that should go to your desk and drawers or toiletries that belong to the bathroom shelves and cupboards. And although the story is thoroughly silly, it provides a nice link to the levels.In Unpacking, you play as someone who must put away their belongings in a new place you’ve moved into. The story is beautifully hand-drawn, with each character having a distinct personality. ![]() From beginning to end, it showcases a simply gorgeous art style. Helltaker is a great game to play if you are into solving challenging puzzles. This shift is a bit of a slap in the face since there will be no mini-boss to prepare you for the final challenge. The final level will also have a violent shift in the genre, making the player face a hell-like showdown with the final boss. In this time, the game will slow down, requiring players to analyze the screen and contemplate how to solve the puzzles. The difficulty in the game will abruptly spike in the final level, however. ![]() Wasting too much time can end to the protagonist’s demise. Adding to the challenge is the limited move. The early levels will focus solely on block-pushing or jumping over traps while the later puzzles will require the players to juggle multiple hazards at a time. ![]() To help you, the game will smoothly introduce the mechanics. Each obstacle will increase in complexity as the game progresses. Blocking his way are skeleton warriors, traps, locked rooms, and boulders. However, finding true love will prove to be difficult.
